Collection of food for the Long Beach Food Pantry is next weekend, October 7. Please bring donations of nonperishable food items and leave your bags in the vestibules of the church. Someone will deliver them to the Food Pantry. Cash is also needed. Just put it in an envelope in the collection basket marked “For the Food Pantry”. Thank you for your continued support.
Pope Francis said, “The right to life is the first human right”. The Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a Life Chain on Sun, Oct 7th (1st Sunday in October) at 1 pm in the front of the church. Please plan to be there in support of unborn lives.
The Catholic Church maintains records for each Sacrament celebrated. St. Thomas keeps records of Baptisms, First Holy Communions, Confirmations, Marriages and Deaths. These records are considered acceptable legal records for proof of age, etc. A Baptismal record will include the names of the parents and sponsors and other pertinent information. If you are interested in getting a copy of your record(s), please email a request to [email protected] or call the Parish office at 863-1610 or including the name, birthdate and parent’s names of the person that received the sacrament, along with your contact information. If we have the information, we will provide you with copies of your records or those of your children.
In our Catholic faith, the month of October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary, one of the best known of all Catholic devotions. The Rosary begins 25 minutes before Mass. You are invited to please arrive a little early, bring your Rosary and pray with us.

The Vocation Chalice Program will be returning to the 5:30 Life Teen Mass on Sunday, Sept 9. A selected volunteer family will take home an actual chalice, display it in a prominent place in their home, and pray for vocations. This is a GREAT way for your family to spend time together in prayer. The Diocese of Biloxi has scheduled a second collection at all Masses for the weekend of Sept 15-16. The collection is to support the diocesan Apostleship of the Sea. This ministry provides sailors at sea with the very basic fulfillment of their responsibilities as a practicing Catholic.
