Love your neighbor: Collection of food for the Long Beach Food Pantry is next weekend. Please bring donations of non-perishable food items and leave your bags in the vestibules of the Church. We will deliver them to the Food Pantry. Cash is also needed. Just put it in an envelope in the collection basket marked for the Food Pantry

The Long Beach Community Food Pantry is in need of volunteers to work either morning or afternoon shifts one day per week either interviewing potential clients or passing out groceries to our neighbors in need. The Pantry is open Mon, Wed, and Fri each week except for national holidays. Morning shifts are 10 am to 12noon and afternoon shifts are 12noon to 2:30 pm. Baccalaureate Mass for graduating high school and college seniors will be on Sunday, May 13 at our 5:30 pm Life Teen Mass. The “2018 Father Louis Lohan Outstanding Young Man/Woman Award” will be presented to two outstanding high school seniors. Please pray for our graduates.
As you are aware, the volunteers at the St. Vincent De Paul Society are committed to helping feed, clothe, assist in housing and basically be the place in our community where families turn for help when they are desperate and have nowhere else to turn.
Can you spare one-half day a month to help someone out?? St. Joseph’s Helping Hands needs workers to help with Honey Do lists from locals who can’t do for themselves.
