The Long Beach Ecumenical Sunrise Service will beheld on Easter Sunday morning, April 5, at 6:30 a.m. It is a beautiful service overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and we are all invited to join with other congregations of churches in the Long Beach area to praise God at the Easter sunrise. Father Cuddy will deliver an Easter message. However, this does not take the place of Mass for Catholics.
The Parish Palooza scheduled for Saturday has been postponed due to the magnitude of rain. It will be held on Sunday, May 3 from 12-4 pm, rain or shine. If it rains the Parish Palooza will be held in the Parish Community Center. If you haven’t purchased your raffle tickets for the car, tickets will be sold the weekend of April 25 and April 26 after all Masses.
Fr. Cuddy will be installed by Bishop Morin on Sunday, March 22nd at the 9:00 a.m. Mass, with reception following in the Community Center. All are invited.
Father Gerard Cleary, 80, went home to God on March 9, 2015, in Gulfport Father Cleary was born on July 20, 1934 in Ballygar, County Galway, Ireland. He graduated from St. Patrick College in Carlow and was ordained for the Diocese of Natchez-Jackson on June 10, 1961
Everybody knows Patsy: organizer supreme, multi-tasker, keeper of the keys, advisor to the priests, listener, comforter, talented writer, and secretary to St. Thomas the Apostle Parish for over twenty years. Patsy retired from a professional career of 35 years as a legal secretary.
