I would like to introduce our Young Vincentians group of St. Thomas, under the guidance of St. Vincent de Paul. Young Vincentians’ mission statement is to live the gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with great love, respect, justice, and joy. We feel it is important for our children to learn the importance and necessity of caring for our church and community. Our youth are very eager to help out whenever they can and Young Vincentians provides them the opportunity!
The group is open for all age groups as young as age 5. We schedule one project each month, which will be announced in the bulletin and on our facebook page (Young Vincentians of St. Thomas, Long Beach, MS). We understand that participating in every project is not always possible. We just want to provide families the opportunity to attend when you can; come to one or come to them all!
We will begin our YV year with a Church Grounds Clean-up/Cookout on October 17th from 10:00-1:00. After we clean the church grounds of trash and debris, Sr. Cecilia will take the kids on a tour of the church. Then we will eat, play games, and discuss our upcoming year of projects. This has been a yearly event at the convent and everyone has a GREAT time. We have outgrown the convent so we have moved to the Church Pavilion.
We invite you to come and see what Young Vincentians is all about. For further details and/or questions please contact: Misty Dedeaux (
