The Society of St. Vincent de Paul would like to say "Thank You" to all who gave to our annual collection on May 14th and 15th.  St. Thomas the Apostle Parish has always been very supportive of our mission to help the needy in Long Beach.  So when you donate cans of food, place money in the poor box, and yes, even offer prayers, this allows us to hand them over to the Lord and say, "Here is the daily bread for your people; let us help as many as we can with what we've got."  There is more that can be done, for "the poor will be always with us," Jesus said. But the miracles, the small wonders, do happen.
