2018 Annual Report - Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Thomas the Apostle Conference
This Annual Report to the Parish is published in an effort to inform our donors and be accountable to those who assist us financially in our work. It is only through your generosity and the support of our pastor, Fr. Cuddy, that we are able to provide food and financial help to those in needs. Funds donated to us are used to help those in need in our local community. We mainly help with utilities, rent, and medicine. However nothing is foreign to our members. Did you know we provided health alert to a parishioner that lives alone with medical issues? We have purchased hearing aids, eye glasses and dental help. We do the best we can to verify that the people who request aid are legitimate so that your donations go only to those who truly need our help. In some cases we go to the client’s home to pray with them and give support. This year we started a program called “The Post.” We send cards to shut –ins with a note to let them know we are praying for them. The following are this year’s statistics report on how your donations were spent and hopefully give you confidence that the resources you provide to us are well used. We appreciate your generosity and ask for your prayers as we strive to do God’s will by helping others both spiritually and financially.
