Hello! I would like to invite all middle-school-age children who love to sing or play an instrument to join the St. Thomas “Testify” Youth Choir. Rehearsals will be once a month on the 3rd Saturday from 10am-11:30 am beginning August 17. This is a great way for your child to serve, praise God and learn the liturgy!

“Testify” youth choir will lead music at Mass every 4-6 weeks as a group, singing and playing instruments, but I am also inviting the kids in the youth choir to sing with adults Sunday mornings at 9 am Masses. This participation will open opportunities for service, active prayer, cantoring, and musicianship. I’m sure that their young voices will bring a fresh sound to our Liturgical Choir, as well!

Practice for 9 am Masses with the Liturgical choir will be Wednesday at 6:30 pm beginning Aug. 7 (no rehearsal the last week of the month). If you can’t sing every week, no problem, sing every other week, or whatever your schedule allows. I also invite and encourage parents to sing with their children, too, if possible!

UPCOMING SPECIAL EVENT: Sr. Consilio’s going away Mass and reception will be on Saturday, September 14. I will be putting all singing groups in the parish together for this Mass. We want to send Sister off with the most love we can!!!

Please email me and let me know if you can fit the youth choir into your child’s schedule. You can choose to do just the Saturday rehearsals or both Saturday and Wednesdays. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to grow in faith, in music and in fellowship with their peers. I truly appreciate your consideration!
