Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful
and kindle in them the fire of Your love.
Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created,
and You shall renew the face of the earth.
O God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit,
did instruct the hearts of the faithful,
grant that by the same Holy Spirit
we may be truly wise and
ever enjoy His consolations,
through Christ Our Lord.
Amen.
In response to the call of the US Bishops for a year of Eucharistic Revival, St Thomas the Apostle parish is uniting with the two Pass Christian parishes of Holy Family and Mother of Mercy in a Eucharistic Procession on Saturday, June 10th.
In a Eucharistic Procession we walk with Jesus, proclaiming his presence and the good news of the gospel to the whole community. Processions traditionally take place at the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ, otherwise known as Corpus Christi, which this year is June 11th. Participation in a Eucharistic Procession is a powerful way to renew and rediscover our faith in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. It is an expression of who we are as Catholics, and who we have been over the centuries and across the globe.
Why have such a public display of our faith? Our communities are hurting. We all need healing, yet many of us are separated from the very source of our strength. Jesus Christ invites us to return to the source and summit of our faith in the celebration of the Eucharist. How can we make the love of Christ visible to a hurting world? Imagine the community reaction as hundreds of Catholics proceed with the Eucharist through the center of Pass Christian on a Saturday morning with songs, banners and prayer. The Eucharist carried on display under a golden canopy surrounded by fully vested deacons, priests and altar servers. Imagine the sight and smell of the incense. Put yourself in the middle of that crowd. Imagine how your neighbors will react. Bishop Kihnemman says our job as a Church is to evangelize. This is a wonderful opportunity to evangelize to a community that needs to know Christ. Imagine the joy!
The Procession will begin with Mass at Mother of Mercy church Saturday, June 10th, at 9:00am, and proceed down Davis Avenue to the pavilion at the corner of 2nd St and Davis Ave. From there, the procession will continue west on Scenic drive to St. Paul Chapel.
Go to this link, Register Here, and commit yourself and your family to participate on June 10th Be a part of the action. Share the joy!

Whether the answer to that question is yes or no, it’s very likely that you either want to grow in that relationship or want to know what it means. As we approach the season of Lent, consider becoming part of a proven, life-changing method of spiritual growth developed by Steubenville University, known as a Discipleship Quad.
A Quad is a small group of the same gender, who journey together as disciples through weekly gatherings of fellowship, ongoing conversion, learning together, praying together, and growing in faith together. This is a completely free, guided program.
St. Thomas will be preparing to launch the Steubenville Discipleship Quad program at the start of this coming Lent, so Quads need to be formed now, we urge everyone in our parish — all ages and walks of life — to enlist in this amazing, faith-building experience. Please click here to get more information or to register: QUAD
